Abina Nimalraj

Director of Community Engagement

Her professional experience spans both municipal and provincial levels of government, where she has led efforts in community relations, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development. She has also worked with nonprofit organizations in roles such as conference secretary, event coordinator, and communications lead, supporting initiatives that foster collaboration and meaningful change.

As Director of Community Partnerships at Help Heal Humanity, Abina focuses on connecting with people, growing the organization’s network of supporters and volunteers, and engaging diverse communities to increase awareness of the organization’s initiatives. She is committed to fostering meaningful relationships that strengthen community involvement and advance the mission of compassion and service.

Deeply connected to her Tamil heritage, she advocates for justice and reconciliation while promoting youth engagement within the diaspora. A trained Bharatanatyam dancer, she has used art as a platform for advocacy, notably organizing a fundraiser for SickKids Hospital that raised over $22,000 and supported cancer awareness.

In her free time, Abina enjoys dancing, Pilates, exploring new brunch spots, and spending time with her dog.
