Dormercant “Lion” Joint
General Director - Port-Au-Prince Haiti
Dormercant Joint, known as Lion, is a dynamic leader, humanitarian, and cultural ambassador who has devoted his life to helping his country thrive. As the General Director of Help Heal Humanity (HHH) in Haiti, Lion oversees all programs and operations, ensuring that children and families receive education, nourishment, and hope.
Before joining HHH, Lion built an impressive career dedicated to service and community. He worked as a registered nurse, providing compassionate care to those in need; as a professional drummer, performing at some of Haiti’s largest concerts and national events; and as a cultural guide, leading humanitarian groups and international volunteers through Haiti to connect them with local communities and culture.
His multifaceted background spanning health care, the arts, and community advocacy, has shaped him into a grounded and visionary leader. With over a decade of humanitarian service, Lion has become a pillar of strength within HHH. Under his leadership, the organization has built a school, launched feeding programs, supported families with housing, and provided emergency relief during crises such as the 2021 earthquake. For Lion, HHH is more than an organization—it’s the perfect place to channel his talents, passion, and purpose back into the heart of his community.
