Dormercant Joint, known as Lion, has been a devoted leader and volunteer with Help Heal Humanity since its earliest days in Haiti. Inspired by his conversations with founder Serena Bufalino, Lion embraced her vision of serving vulnerable children and families and committed himself wholeheartedly to the mission.

Today, Lion continues to serve HHH as a volunteer, leading with humility, compassion, and love. Under his guidance, HHH has built a school, overseen thousands of feeding programs, and managed the day-to-day operations that support entire communities in Port-au-Prince. He has played a vital role in sustaining HHH’s life-changing programs, ensuring that students and their families receive education, nourishment, and hope.

Lion has also led critical emergency responses, including distributing food, repairing homes, and rebuilding schools after both the 2010 and 2021 devastating earthquakes. Through his steadfast service, Lion embodies the mission of Help Heal Humanity: proving that compassion, resilience, and community can transform lives, even in the most challenging of circumstances.
